ODUMUNC 2023 Awards and Gallery

It is the honor and pleasure of the ODU Model United Nations Society to announce the winners of ODUMUNC 46. Back from two years of pandemic and Zoom, the conference happened 16-19 February 2023, in-person at the Norfolk Sheraton Waterside. Registered for the conference were 696 delegates from 51 high schools. They passed a total of 25 resolutions.

The conference was an extraordinary event for the ODU staff. The conference was led Secretary-General Ana Camacho and Director-General Sophie Rofheart. Their leadership and infectious commitment did so much to ensure the program's success. Vital contributions came from Under-Secretary-Generals Blaizen Bloom and Ludan Ahmed, and Secretary-Treasurer Rue Willis. Forty other society members played essential roles, from writing issue briefs, to completing thousands of managerial tasks, and organizing and chairing the three-day conference sessions. The conference also benefited from major support from the ODU campus community.

Congratulations to the winners of ODUMUNC 46:

  • Best Delegation: Maggie L. Walker Governor's School, Richmond Virginia.
  • Outstanding Delegation: Tabb High School, York County, Virginia.
  • Jean Gazarian Award for Diplomacy: Brooke Point High School, Stafford County, Virginia.

Congratulations to all these delegations for their impressive performances. Individual award winners are linked to the right.
