Transfer Mentors
If you transferred to ODU from another institution, you should consider connecting with a mentor or serving as one if you are a second year ODU transfer student!
- Transfer mentors serve as a connecting link between mentees and academic/career opportunities on-/off-campus
- Transfer mentors are peer leaders who model the academic, personal, and social qualities associated with college-level success
- Transfer mentors act as a learning coach to assist mentees in developing successful academic and goal-setting behaviors
- Transfer mentors serve as a trusted friend who can understand the transfer student experience at Old Dominion University
The peer mentor opportunity is a volunteer experience for students who want to help encourage, support, and guide students through their ODU experience with an emphasis on promoting collegiate-level academic success.
