What type of Summer Student will you be?

Nearly 1,500 on campus and online courses are offered in the summer. ODU students enrolled in summer classes benefit from flexible course schedules, instruction from world-class faculty and remote learning opportunities. Use LeoOnline for registration, scheduling or to make payment online. Housing information is available on the ODU Housing Portal.

As a visiting student, you have access to ODU's renowned faculty, classes, services and remote and online course opportunities. To apply as a visiting student, click here and follow the next steps:

  • Click Create an account
  • Select to start either Undergraduate or Graduate application
  • For "what type of student are you," select Non-Degree Certificate/Visiting Student
  • For "which program would you like to study," select Non-Degree
  • For "Term," select Summer
  • On the ODU application under Fee Waiver Eligibility, select I am a visiting student taking summer classes
  • Allow 48 hours for processing non-degree application
