The Training Specialist program is designed to prepare job-ready graduates to design, implement, and deliver organizational development and training programs that result in talent development and organizational performance improvement. As a $350 billion-dollar global industry, there are tremendous employment opportunities in business, industry, health care, government, military, higher education, and other work environments. The curriculum, based on competencies identified by today’s employers and professional associations, is designed to help graduates to develop the requisite knowledge and skills to be successful in today’s organizations. Graduates acquire the knowledge and skills in instructional design and talent development, leadership and team development, communication and management, entrepreneurship and creative problem-solving, web-based technologies, and cultural and diversity awareness that impacts organizational development and training effectiveness. Instructional Coordinators
Develop instructional material, coordinate educational content, and incorporate current technology in specialized fields that provide guidelines to educators and instructors for developing curricula and conducting courses. Includes educational consultants and specialists, and instructional material directors.
Training and Development Specialists
Design and conduct training and development programs to improve individual and organizational performance. May analyze training needs.

Perform activities in the human resource area. Includes employment specialists who screen, recruit, interview, and place workers.
Instructional Designers and Technologists
Develop instructional materials and products and assist in the technology-based redesign of courses. Assist faculty in learning about, becoming proficient in, and applying instructional technology.
