Appraise real property to determine its value for purchase, sales, investment, mortgage, or loan purposes.
MEDIAN SALARY
Rent, buy, or sell property for clients. Perform duties, such as study property listings, interview prospective clients, accompany clients to property site, discuss conditions of sale, and draw up real estate contracts. Includes agents who represent buyer.
Explores the different financing and ownership arrangements used in real estate transactions. Prerequisites: FIN 319 and FIN 323 or permission of the instructor, and a declared major in the University or permission of the Dean's Office.
Economic theories of value applied to real estate as a guide to business decisions. Prerequisites: FIN 319 and FIN 323 or permission of the instructor, and a declared major in the University or permission of the Dean's Office.
Material focuses on quantitative and qualitative goal setting; management, control and evaluation of the sales program; selecting, training, motivating, and evaluating the sales force. Prerequisite: C or better in MKTG 311 (or equivalent), and a declared major in the University or permission of the Dean's Office.
Students entering the Bachelor of Science in Business Administration program in Real Estate should meet the minimum university admission requirements (Undergraduate Admission)
Applicants for admission to any of the majors in the undergraduate degree program in business administration (Bachelor of Science in Business Administration - BSBA) should apply initially to the Office of Admissions of Old Dominion University. Students cannot be accepted into business administration without first being admitted to the University. Admission to the University does not guarantee admission to the Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) program. Candidates for admission to the BSBA program should indicate on the application to the University their intention to enter the undergraduate business administration degree program.
Admission to the BSBA degree program is a two-step process.
Students must first successfully complete ODU admission requirements and be certified as having done so
