About this Program

The Training and Development minor is offered to students majoring in disciplines (other than occupational and technical studies) who wish to enhance their content area of expertise and develop the knowledge and skills required to be an effective trainer in their respective disciplines and related fields. Supplement your career preparation with this minor that will advance your presentation, teaching, and evaluation skills.

What are the requirements to apply for Training & Development at ODU?
Students entering the Minor program in Training & Development should meet the minimum university admission requirements Undergraduate Admission.
  • For completion of a minor, a student must have a minimum overall cumulative grade point average of 2.00 in all courses required for the minor exclusive of prerequisite courses and complete a minimum of six hours in upper-level courses in the minor requirement through courses offered by Old Dominion University.
