About this Program

This program provides the foundation and the necessary skills, knowledge, and abilities required to design and manage the technology-based, project-driven enterprise. The program requires thesis research, and the student is expected to identify an advisor and work with him/her starting from the first semester. Fundamentally, the engineering management program focuses on problems, design, and management of projects and complex operations. The program is grounded in solid principles of systems science while exploiting the tools of management science and project management. The coursework is designed to produce graduates capable of addressing issues related to the design, operation, analysis, and transformation of complex problems. Core coursework concentrates on developing the knowledge and skills required by graduates to provide the project and program leadership and management necessary for an organization to develop and manage technologies.
