Narketta Sparkman-Key: Reopening should be an opportunity for women leaders

COVID-19 is taking a toll on professional women. In fact, women's productivity has decreased during the pandemic due to the disproportionate role they play in managing their families' social and emotional well-being, home schooling, social isolation and work.

In higher education, for instance, some journal editors are finding an increase in submissions from men and a decrease in those from women, and that female researchers are producing fewer publications than in previous years.
