Across Campus - A Photo Essay
The University Village Bookstore celebrated Dr. Seuss's birthday with a visit from the Cat in the Hat and fun children's activities on March 4. The event, which was open to the public, supports the national children's literacy initiative Read Across America. Faculty members from Old Dominion University's Child Learning Resource Center and members from the Norfolk-based volunteer reading organization REACH (Reading Enriches All Children) read to children at the bookstore and the Baron & Ellin Gordon Art Galleries. A Picture is Worth...
The 24 Hour Roar, ODU's Day of Giving, was held March 14 to celebrate Old Dominion University's 86th year by providing scholarship support to 86 students. Donors from 23 states gave an impressive $380,000 during the 24-hour period. To support the 24 Hour Roar, current ODU students collected change in promotional piggy banks.
