Old Dominion Researchers Are Part of First North Pole Expedition in 10 Years

An Old Dominion University scientist, two graduate students and a lab supervisor were recently part of the first unaccompanied research expedition to the North Pole by a United States surface ship.

Members of the newly formed student organization "Jesus Movement" took a unique approach to fund-raising on campus last Friday. Members of the organization served as salespeople in a mobile boutique, "The Jewelry Box." The students sold everything from clothing and hats to jewelry. The boutique on wheels, donated 15 percent of the proceeds to the student organization. Photos by Julie Berry.
