The Ted was rockin' Wednesday when the Lady Monarchs hosted the annual Education Day game. A record crowd of more than 6,000 youngsters from Norfolk Public Schools filled the arena, screaming their lungs out for the home team in its game against UMass-Lowell. Students from 31 elementary schools and Madison Alternative School attended the event, an annual holiday tradition on the Lady Monarchs' schedule. The Education Day game is designed to showcase the university - and the women's basketball team - to young students in the area. Students from Larchmont Elementary sang the national anthem before the game.
