Professor Jishan He, former president and now honorary president of Central South University, Changsha, Hunan, China, presents a gift to Old Dominion Provost Carol Simpson during an Oct. 18 visit to campus. He led a delegation of three professors from Central South University who are interested in developing exchange and collaborative work between their institution and ODU. Central South is among the largest universities in China. Currently, it has more than 33,000 full-time undergraduates, 12,000 graduate students and approximately 1,000 international students. The calligraphy on the scroll presented to Simpson was done by Professor He.
