ODU Commemorates Sept. 11 Anniversary with Unique Events

As many across the nation attended annual commemorations of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks, a pair of unique events at ODU brought together students and faculty for conversations intended to build community cohesion.



HACE Mugs for the Camera: A Photo Essay

The Hourly and Classified Employees Association had a full room for its annual fall social Sept. 11. In addition to providing snacks for current and prospective members, HACE held a contest for the most unique coffee mug and selected the raffle winner of two ODU football season tickets. Scott Silsdorf, the new director of transportation and parking services, was the guest of honor and a contest judge at the event.

ZTA member Rachel Bryant, a sophomore psychology/human services major, helped decorate for the rally with pink balloons.

ZTA Breast Cancer Rally: A Photo Essay

Zeta Tau Alpha sorority held a rally on Kaufman Mall during activity hour Thursday, Sept. 12, to raise money for breast cancer research. The sorority sold raffle tickets for prizes that included gift baskets and gift certificates to area restaurants.
